Since the Conservatives took control of the council, Bob has been elected as vice chair of the Health and Housing Scrutiny Committee. He is also a very active member of the Licensing Committee, as well as being a member of the Communities and Local Services Scrutiny Committee. Regionally, he also sits on the Tees Valley Joint Health Scrutiny Committee.
Bob has lived in Darlington for 50 years and was first elected as Councillor for Park West in 2011 - he lives in the ward. Bob is now fully retired which gives him time to concentrate fully on issues relating to the ward and council, which he is passionate about. As councillor for Park West he has spoken to and helped many residents with issues relating to planning, traffic control, verges, and drainage to name just a few, as well as providing residents with information and support regarding pandemic queries.
Bob continues to be passionate about all issues relating to our town.
