Gerald is married to Ruth. They have two sons and are proud grandparents. He has been involved with rural affairs since the early nineties, first as a Parish Councillor and then as Ward Councillor.
Gerald is kept very busy with his duties on the planning committee yet still finds time to champion initiatives on litter picking and community activities throughout the borough. He is also a member of the Licensing committee, Chairs the Audit committee and represents DBC on the Combined Fire Authority, He is also a member of the Heighington Parish Council and was responsible for negotiating and the purchase of the village Sports Field among many other initiatives to benefit his Ward.
Gerald lives and breathes ward issues and when he does have free time, he enjoys gardening, walking, fishing and spending time with his family. His commitment to his rural Ward is absolute.
He makes himself available seven days a week to all residents, to listen, advise and act on their behalf in order to try to achieve a satisfactory outcome. No concern is too small and no concern is too large for Gerald to take on.
